Jan. 30, 2012 - PRLog -- TEEN IDOLS OF 16 MAGAZINE- LIVE IN CONCERT
70’s teen heartthrobs perform live onstage together for the first time!

Over 110 million records sold, with more than 20 “Top 40” worldwide singles between them!

Hollywood, CA January 14, 2012 – Long before Justin Bieber, Justin Timberlake and Chris Brown, there were the Bay City Rollers, Tony DeFranco, and Bo Donaldson & The Heywoods.

Teen fanzines in the 60’s/70’s (16 Magazine, Tiger Beat, FLIP and FAVE) featured these stars on the mag covers on a regular basis. On the “Teen Idols of 16 Magazine” live concert tour, the fans finally have a chance to see their childhood heroes up close and personal for the very first time on the very same stage.

The Bay City Rollers were the "tartan teen sensations from Edinburgh" and were the first of many acts heralded as the 'Biggest Group since The Beatles' and one of the most screamed at teeny-bopper acts of the 1970s. In 1976 (the year of “Rollermania"), they were worldwide teen idols. The Bay City Rollers sold over 100 million records worldwide. Their biggest hits included "Saturday Night," "I Only Want to Be with You," "Money Honey," "You Made Me Believe in Magic," and many more. Lead singer Les McKeown brings his talents to American shores for the first time in many years.

For many years, teen idol Tony DeFranco (of the DeFranco Family) has eluded the spotlight but is finally returning. Tony says, “all these years later, I’m still receiving close to 500 letters and emails monthly. I’m ready to meet my fans again around the world, shake their hands and thank them for their continued support after all this time.” Their debut single, "Heartbeat, It's a Lovebeat," featuring the lead vocals of then 13-year-old Tony DeFranco sold more than 2 million copies. The band sold over 5 million records worldwide. Other hits included "Abra-ca-dabra" and "Save the Last Dance for Me.”

Bo Donaldson & the Heywoods’ biggest hit was "Billy, Don't Be A Hero," which sold over three-and-a-half million copies in June 1974. Four more Top 40 singles followed, including the monster hit, "Who Do You Think You Are?” Bo Donaldson has sold over 6 million records worldwide.
