Jan. 30, 2012 - PRLog -- The MS Pulp Con will feature artists (including guest of honor zombie artist Billy Tackett and professional props maker Chris Russell), authors (including professor of English at UWA, Dr. Alan Brown), filmmakers (including Richard Landry and stuntman Ted Alderman), paranormal groups (including luminary Patrick Burns from TruTV and the Travel Channel), the Blackhearts Ball (with special guest dancer Alia Thabit) and an all day film festival brought to you by The Watcher’s Council & Film Society honoring Women in Horror Month and featuring, among others, an award winning short film starring Jackson, Mississippi’s own Kit Williamson.

"Alright Mississippi, you've asked for it, so I'm giving it to you. My biggest, grandest and best event yet," Charles Walter Jett, founder of the Pulp Con said. "You name it, you’ve got it! Artists, authors, a film festival, filmmakers, dance guests plus the annual Blackhearts Ball. This event is taking a whole lot of work to put together, but you deserve it!"

Not only will the Pulp Con feature the above mentioned guests and events, there will also be numerous other artists and special guests, including the Mississippi Mandalorians, the Mississippi Ghostbusters, and the Mississippi Society of Paranormal Investigators, just to name a few. The day is full of opportunities to explore culture and celebrate what Mississippi has to offer artistically. For more information and a full list of guests, vendors and sponsors, please visit http://mspulpcon.com

Price at the door will be $15. Pre-pay passes are available at Java Ink in Pearl, Comic Commander or Van’s Comics in Ridgeland or online at mspulpcon.com for just $10. This is an unbelievable value and covers all access to the Pulp Con: the film festival, all the guests and vendors and the Blackhearts Ball.
