Apollo Safety Announces Hiring of New Executive Assistant to CEO and President

Jan. 30, 2012 - PRLog -- Apollo Safety announced today that Shelly Faria has joined the team as executive assistant to the CEO and president, John V. Carvalho, III.   Faria is responsible for day-to-day administrative and project tracking support to the CEO and serving as the critical link between the CEO and the company’s customers as well as the staff.  This includes managing the CEO’s calendar and travel, using judgment to act in the CEO’s absence, and providing administrative support as needed.

With a certificate in Computer Office Technology from Bristol Community College in Fall River, Mass., Faria comes to Apollo Safety after 17 years of service at SMART Management in Providence, R.I., with 15 years spent as the corporate executive assistant to the president and CEO.   Her duties there included scheduling, office administration, coordination of all shareholder annual meetings, execution of large-scale mailings, and customer service among many other tasks.

“It was imperative to find the right person for the job,” said Carvalho.  “And Shelly’s combined education and experience were the keys in my decision to bring her onto the team.  We’re happy to have her onboard.”
