"Seeking Super Sheros" Contest Now Seeking Submissions
Strategic Living, LLC, has announced a contest, Seeking Super Sheros. People who describe, draw. and submit a self-defense super shero have an opportunity to win prizes.
“I’ve been asking my self-defense students if they could have any super power for self-defense, what it would be.” said Joanne Factor, Owner and Instructor at Strategic Living, LLC. “Answers ranged from becoming invisible to flying to super-speed to mind-reading to future-seeing.”
Now Factor is asking the public what their ideal super power for self-defense would be, whom would they help, and what would motivate their Shero to use her power. Contestants are requested to send in their Shero’s name and description, along with a visual representation (drawing, painting, photograph, avatar). For more information about the contest and to access the online entry form, visit http://www.StrategicLiving.org/
First prize is an iPod Shuffle, second prize a $25 Amazon.com gift certificate, and third prize a $10 iTunes gift certificate. Deadline is April 15th, 2012 at midnight, Pacific time. Winners will be notified by June 15th, 2012.
“Women deserve to live full and rich lives, and to do that sometimes we have to assess and take risks. So many women feel inadequate to defend themselves, as if it’s a big mystery,” says Factor, “and at Strategic Living we want to alleviate the unnecessary anxiety so many carry into all their relationships and situations.”
