Cardiff to Feel Good on Friday 1 February with a charity massage - £3 donation per massage session

Jan. 29, 2012 - PRLog -- Vital funds raised through this sponsorship of Feel Good Friday, will help Samaritans to answer thousands more calls from people who might not have anywhere else to turn. The charity answers a call every five seconds and in order to maintain a 24/7 service it needs to raise over £10 million each year. Samaritans is a 24-hour helpline for anyone feeling down and depressed or struggling to cope. The event used to be known as Stress Down Day.

The owner, Philip Marshall said: “Many of our clients are Cardiff city centre workers as well as students and staff from Cardiff University. I am sure they will all show up in force to help raise these much needed funds” .

City Marshall have decided to donate £3 for every massage or reflexology treatment carried out on both Friday and Saturday. Mr Marshall said: “We hope to raise at least £50, so we are encouraging short bookings of 30 minutes at a discounted £20 each”.

Samaritans’ Head of Fund-raising, Chris Jarrett said: “Thank you to all the staff at City Marshall who are helping make Feel Good Friday such a successful fundraiser.  Every five seconds Samaritans receives a call from someone struggling to cope, and funds raised will help us answer more calls from people with nowhere else to turn.”
