ID-U Biometrics Hires Focal Point Strategies for Round of Financing

ID-U, and its founder, Dr. Daphna Palti-Wasserman, recognized early on that today’s biometric market requires a system that integrates smoothly into different platforms, is easy to use, inexpensive, and gives high performance even in uncontrolled and unsupervised environments. None of the existing identification methods can provide a suitable solution.  To help solve those challenges Dr. Palti-Wasserman created ID-U.

ID-U offers a totally new and disruptive concept in biometric identification. It is the first stimuli-driven, dynamic, biometric system. The software based technology is based on the uniqueness of a person's eye-movement patterns. The person to be identified (user) watches a moving target (visual stimulus) on a monitor, while a small, low-resolution camera acquires the user's eye-movement response; a processing unit, either inside the local device or remotely located at another physical site, uses both the stimuli and response to identify the user.   Equally important, it is easy and inexpensive to deploy.

Their solution is spoof proof (unlike existing solutions that use unchanging patterns) and software based.  In addition, it offers many features unavailable on alternative solutions, like “Liveness Detection”, innovative Anti Phishing capabilities, methods to determine stress levels, abilities to trigger silent alarms in case of a forced identification process, and many more.
