Equine Facilitated Personal Development Program Launches In Orlando

Jan. 25, 2012 - PRLog -- Barrett Farm of Florida, Inc. (Orlando, FL), and Performance Transformation, LLC™(Venice, FL), announced the launch of the Transition as Transformation workshop, scheduled for February 25th and 26th, 2012.  The hands-on program works with horses to introduce a set of easy-to-use life tools designed to help people feeling disengaged, tossed about by change, or displaced by our rapidly shifting society.

The workshop integrates The Epona Approach™ with evidence-based, scientific research that provides insights into how we experience, process, and respond to our emotional landscape.   Unlike many seminars, the workshop is not lecture based. The concepts are experienced first-hand, immersed in our natural world through ground-based exercises with the horses.   No previous horsemanship experience is required to attend.

The workshop will be co-facilitated by Laura Gurtis, a seasoned, expert equestrian instructor, and Terry Murray, a professionally trained life coach, author, and creator of The Accretive Coaching Process™.  Laura and Terry were classmates in the Epona Apprenticeship Program, graduating as Approved Epona Instructors in 2009.  The Epona program represents the most comprehensive approach to Equine Facilitated Learning (EFL) available, requiring more than a year of study to complete. The approach was created by best-selling author and EFL pioneer, Linda Kohanov, and has been in practice for more than fifteen years.
