Jan. 24, 2012 - PRLog -- Salt Lake City, UT  — Stevens-Henager College has introduced a new Master’s of Business Administration program with an Entrepreneurship emphasis to help students harness their entrepreneurial potential.

The move comes at a time when entrepreneurship and new business creation are booming in the country, and the program is aimed at attracting students who want to launch their own start-ups or take over the reins of family business.

For these individuals, the allure of being in charge of their own destiny, having control over their decisions, and seeing their creative ideas take the shape of business plans, far exceeds the risks and challenges of starting their own entrepreneurship.

The program is designed to channel the business acumen of these individuals in the right direction, in addition to developing their leadership and management skills.

The MBA degree also provides graduates advanced competencies in a range of business disciplines, through courses in Financial Accounting, Marketing Management, Corporate Finance, Information Technology, Business Strategy, Entrepreneurial Management, Business Plans, Operations Management, etc. The idea is to give students an all-round business education they can use as a strong foundation for all their entrepreneurial activities.

But the focus of the program is not just to hone the entrepreneurial skills of students who want to launch their own private firms, but also those who want to lead business initiatives in large corporate houses.

Eligibility criteria for admission to the program include a high school diploma or an equivalent GED credential and a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. Candidates can schedule a personal visit to one of Stevens-Henager College’s campuses to familiarize themselves with the facility as well as begin the admissions process in person.

The degree is available at the Salt Lake City/Murray, Ogden/West Haven, and Provo/Orem campuses of Stevens-Henager College, as well as their satellite locations at Layton and Lehi. Alternatively, students have the option of taking online classes for the program.
