Anthony Parent, Esq. Informs Taxpayers of the Gaps in Federal Spending

Jan. 20, 2012 - PRLog -- Wallingford, CT., - Founder of IRS Medic at Parent & Parent, Anthony Parent, Esq., points out the IRS’s faults in relation to the offshore initiatives program.

The IRS initially implemented the offshore voluntary disclosure program to help people hiding offshore accounts get current with their taxes. The program has been implemented twice, bringing in more than 4.4 billion dollars.

To put this into perspective, the US Treasury spends about 10 billion dollars a day.

“How serious can we take the so-called tax gap, when after two successful programs, both well-publicized, together, don’t even pay for half a day of federal spending?” said Anthony Parent, Founder of IRS Medic.

Previously, Parent informed taxpayers of how to deal with their offshore voluntary accounts. Parent claims the programs - in 2009 and 2011 - have previously been successful.

The IRS has reopened the OVDI. Unlike the 2009 and 2011 OVDIs, the just-released 2012 deal has no expiration.
