Natural Hair Rules was created by Tamara Floyd, marketing and public relations professional, as her own personal hair journal.   Struggling to disarm negative perception of the natural-haired African American woman, Floyd embarked on her natural hair journey in 2006 as means to define her own standard of beauty.  Her experience is chronicled on the website. It has blossomed into a go-to guide for encouragement, hair care tips, inspiration, tutorial, celebrity interviews and so much more.
