PRLog -- If you want to find a beautiful place to live, trust what you read: Northern New Jersey. Landscape (hills and lakes –fishing, boating and skiing), recreation (1 hour to the shore) and proximity to NY-city (1-hour drive) provide the residents a combination of extraordinary private lifestyle combined with all entertainment and shopping choices one can desire. Having lived in different parts of the country, I am basing my judgment on personal experience and not tradition. Where in the country do we find lot sizes above 1 acre as a given? Many of the newer properties even border state forest and with the highland protection bill in place there is no fear that excessive home building will take away from the natural appeal of the landscape. Aren’t the homes pricy in Northern New Jersey? Yes and no. The issue is that the starter home comes in at a relative high-level price, but if you can afford the next level homes, you get allot for your money. Take a look at this property in Rockaway NJ, for example:
http://pashacourt.com (MLS 2895400) and look for a similar lot size, house size and standard around the country and you will find that you mostly have to pay more for a comparable home. What about taxes? At times, you get what you pay for: A school system in the 95%-percentile of the country, ice and snow cleared roads, safety and security. Taxes always come with the ability to make a good living and so you will find neighborhoods, which combine high level income with well-cultured people, who stayed connected to earth. This sure gives a different perspective of New Jersey, which is often only seen as a drive through state around the turnpike. The funny thing is that even there, what at times looks like a simple warehouse on the side of the road, with a closer look you find out that this building hosts the computers and backups the New York Stock Exchanges runs at. We sure could add many more of those examples. There is outer and inner value in New Jersey living. For new residents in the area and those looking for a new home, check Northern New Jersey with your own eyes and leave behind what you were made to believe and you will find allot of value you can get.
