Dr. Tonya Blount Slated to tell "Her Story....the Journey"

Jan. 17, 2012 - PRLog -- NEW YORK, NY— JANUARY 17, 2012 — Dr. Tonya Blount will soon welcome women to “walk a mile in her shoes.”  Upon learning of the Walk in My Shoes campaign, organizers of the social network I Am Discovering You has announced that Dr. Blount will serve as keynote speaker for Her Story...the Journey. Additionally, through Having Church for Women Magazine and the Walk in My Shoes campaign Dr. Blount is a sponsor for the event, which is scheduled for Saturday, February 18 from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm.

Her Story...the Journey ,jointly hosted by Dr. Blount and I Am Discovering You is the first in a planned series of forums on the theme of women strengthening. The event will be interactive and audience members will be expected to submit questions to panels to identify women’s issues.  Dr. Patrice J. Carter, minister, life coach and author will be the moderator for the panel discussion. Dr. Ahmed Royalty, dynamic and anointed speaker, teacher and preacher and the author of Royalty Manhood Training for Men in Church will be one of the panelists. In addition, there will also be local authors represented on the panel. Blount will be signing copies of her latest memoir, The Price I Paid For This Anointing, as well as, recording artist Millie Gonzalez will be performing.

Dr. Blount is excited to be able to share her personal story through I Am Discovering You.  “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and the word of their testimony…(Revelations 12:11). Regardless of where one may have started, one thing is for certain, tests and trials are imminent. Faith in God is the component for resilience no matter who you are,” proclaims Blount.

Her Story...the Journey will take place on February 18 at the Zion Christian Center, located at 2850 Virgilina Road in Roxboro, NC.
