The Legacy House Grand Opening

GREENSBORO, NC, Jan. 17, 2012 — The Legacy House will host its Grand Opening on Saturday, February 18, 2012 from 11:00 am – 3:00 pm at the NC A&T BEST Center, located at 1325-B South Eugene Street, Greensboro, NC 27406.  The Legacy House is a non-profit organization that provides out of school care that provides affordable academic based services to families of low to moderate incomes. The Legacy House is committed to developing life-long learners by addressing their physical, social, emotional, and spiritual needs, “Teaching the World 1 Kid at a Time”.

The Grand Opening will feature events for the entire family.  Parents will have the opportunity to learn about and register for tutoring sessions for children.  Prizes and giveaways will be conducted every hour and various organizations that support activities for the children in our community.  In addition, donations will be taken to further the cause of the organization.  The Legacy House will have at home tutoring packages available for purchase and the opportunity to speak with directors of the program.  We invite all government and school officials out to this event to show their support for enhancing the education of the youth in the Triad. About The Legacy House
The Legacy House was birthed out of the heart of a local teacher by the name of Paulita "Angel" Musgrave.  Ms. Musgrave saw a need for academic enrichment in her local rural community and began a two week camp during the summer of 2003.  In 2004 the camp increased to 3 weeks and evolved into an afterschool program.  After a discussion with family members Ms. Musgrave was able to secure a larger facility through the donation of the former home place of her grandparents Yancy and Allena Musgrave.
