Brandon Primus Performing at San Diego UNCF Super Viewing Party

Jan. 14, 2012 - PRLog -- The UNCF San Diego presents, a Super Viewing Party to support UNCF's National "Evening of Stars"® Campaign. UNCF is the largest and most effective minority education organization.

As part of an evening of entertainment Saxophonist Brandon Primus, will perform various genres of jazz and spiritual music. He is an instrumentalist, playing the piano, keyboards, and composer. The manner and flow of his music is heavily influenced by Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductee Jazz musician Miles Davis and other notable artists such as John Coltrane, Grover Washington, Jr., and Kenny G. His musical style is a hybrid of Jazz, Soul, Funk, Hip Hop and R&B. Basically a historical culmination of styles that black musicians have pioneered.

Primus is a graduate of the Berklee College of Music, Boston, MA and a former “Showtime at the Apollo” winning saxophonist. He has shared the stage with artists like Rashaan Patterson, Jody Watley, Jeffrey Osborne, Eric Roberson, and has performed at BB King's Jazz and Blues Night Club in Times Square and at the Birchmere Music Hall in Alexandria, VA. More local artists are slated to be featured as supporters of the UNCF tribute to Educating Our Future.

Primus, is currently a law student at the Thomas Jefferson School of Law (San Diego).

The UNCF Super Viewing Party event will be held Saturday, January 21, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. at the Joe and Vi Jacobs Center 404 Euclid Ave. San Diego, CA. 92114.
