Riders in the Sky Whip Up Family Fun in True Western Fashion at BIG ARTS - Sanibel

Jan. 13, 2012 - PRLog -- Riders in the Sky will take the stage Saturday, February 18, at 8 p.m. in BIG ARTS Schein Performance Hall, 900 Dunlop Road, Sanibel. Tickets are $42 General, $47 Loge and $15 Child.

Known for their rich blend of Western harmony and unique sense of humor, Riders in the Sky is a two-time Grammy® Award-winning group that has captivated audiences of all ages across the country for more than three decades. The group has made 700 separate appearances at Nashville’s Grande Ole Opry and his best known to younger audiences for their performance of “Woody’s Roundup” in Toy Story 2.  

Riders are keepers of the flame passed on by the Sons of the Pioneers, Gene Autry and Roy Rogers, and have released more than 30 albums. The group has also enjoyed television success as comedic hosts of their own weekly CBS and TNN programs.

Riders remains true to the integrity of Western music with their wacky cowboy charisma, and the group has encouraged buckaroos and buckarettes in 10 different countries over the years to live life “the cowboy way.” Riders have been guests at major events like the Hollywood Bowl and featured on television shows Barney & Friends and Penn & Teller. They are inductees of the Western Music Association Hall of Fame and are also included in the Country Music Foundation’s Walkway of Stars.
