Jan. 13, 2012 - PRLog -- Since building his first guitar at age 13, Ryan Thorell has been involved with guitars on both ends of the spectrum. He grew fond of playing, and studied with both Frank Vignola and Bruce Forman, becoming a talented jazz guitarist and teacher in the process.

Thorell also became interested in the construction of the guitars themselves, apprenticing with luthier Tim Gonzalez and studying privately with renowned luthier Tom Ribbecke. He honed his craftsmanship by building fine furniture, becoming more skilled with hand tools and woodworking. He now joins a select list of well-known luthiers on the FineArchtops.com website.
