Mayor of Chicago Backs K.O.R. Enterprises as the #1 Independent Entertainment Firm/Label of Chicago

Jan. 13, 2012 - PRLog -- The first snowfall is always a magical day, full of promise, hope and great anticipation; and for K.O.R. Enterprises Inc. (K.O.R.E.), the future could not look brighter. Chase, CEO of K.O.R.E., an entertainment firm specializing in the consulting, managing and marketing of Chicago area artists, met with Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel to discuss his goals and agenda for 2012. This meeting had amazing results when the Mayor labeled K.O.R.E. the premiere Independent Label of Chicago. Chase and Mayor Emanuel have agreed to come together to work on a plan for getting Chicago youth off the streets by providing them with avenues for fulfilling their dreams, specifically in the entertainment realm: starting with music, fashion, and movies.

Chase, CEO of K.O.R.E. explained, “I was born and raised in Chicago, and I’ve always been involved in the music industry, from the creation of House Music to the new sound of Hip-Hop exploding on the scene. Music saved my life, and I want others to have that same opportunity.”

Providing that opportunity began in 2005, when Chase formed Kros-Over Records, later becoming Kros-Over Records Enterprises Inc. (K.O.R.E.). This was his answer to helping those with a passion for music. And though starting from humble beginnings, his goals are not small. His first goal is his vision for his company. “We want K.O.R.E to be to Chicago as So So Def is to Atlanta,” Chase stated. “I have over 20 years of experience in the industry, including working alongside some of the biggest Executive Producers in the industry. I know we can accomplish this goal.” While indeed an admirable goal, his plans are much larger and include an impact of many more people than just himself and his company.

His second goal is born out of his commitment to the city of Chicago. His first commitment is to stay in Chicago. Chicago has been known to be a harsh environment for those starting out in the entertainment industry. Chicago has forced many artists, producers and labels to make a name and impact elsewhere, but Chase is determined to stay. His determination is born out of his second commitment to Chicago, which were part of his discussions with the Mayor; his promise – to fund Chicago’s education system. “I promised the city of Chicago that we will stay based here, and out of our success we will fund all of the public schools in order to bring music/entertainment back into the schools and help the Mayor and the City of Chicago to pay offs its debts.”

The future indeed looks bright for Chase and K.O.R.E., and 2012 promises to be a full year for the company. Several projects are already well under way. These projects include bringing out some of the most talented, new artists of Chicago – names like Daze, Leo Getz, HeartBreak Kidz and Frankie Knucklez are just a few of the names to keep an eye out for, and many more are to come.
