RE/MAX 200 and Town & Country REALTORS® Receive Prestigious ORRA Awards

Jan. 12, 2012 - PRLog -- Zola Szerencses of RE/MAX 200 Realty was awarded the 2011 REALTOR® of the Year award by the Orlando Regional Realtor Association and Melissa Maszy Cruz of RE/MAX Town & Country Realty was honored with the 2011 Rising Star of the Year award. The Orlando Regional Realtor Association (ORRA) hosted a Blue Jean Ball event benefitting the Florida Real Estate Foundation on January 6th at the Hilton in downtown Orlando. The Association also inaugurated their 2012 Chairman of the Board, Stephen Baker, and presented various awards to outstanding members and real estate agents at this event. Szerencses and Cruz received these awards at this celebration which included a silent auction and dinner.

The REALTOR® of the Year award is one of the most prestigious awards given by the Association. It is awarded to honor a current member of ORRA who has displayed outstanding success in a leadership role at ORRA. The Rising Star of the Year award is presented to an ORRA member who is a newcomer but has displayed a great amount of enthusiasm with the Association’s committees, meetings and educational opportunities. It is awarded to a member who is active and expected to achieve great things with ORRA throughout his or her career.

Szerencses has been a licensed REALTOR® since 2001 and has been working at RE/MAX 200 Realty for six years. He has been a member of the Orlando Regional Realtor Association since 2003. Szerencses is the Vice Chairman of the Strategic Planning at ORRA, Florida Realtors Director and National Association of Realtors (NAR) Director.

Cruz has been a licensed REALTOR® since 2008 and has been working at RE/MAX Town & Country Realty for three years. She has been a member of the Orlando Regional Realtor Association since 2008. Cruz is the current chairperson of the ORRA Young Professionals Network and was appointed an ORRA Florida Realtors Director for 2012 to 2013.
