Jan. 11, 2012 - PRLog -- DETROIT – Michigan Buick dealers and many other dealerships across the state will be attending the 2012 North American International Auto Show. This year the Detroit Three are hoping to not only say, “We’re back,” but also to the competition, “You better be scared.”
Starting the year off on a strong note is essential, and Michigan Buick dealers will get to see numerous new debuts from their automaker, General Motors, as well as numerous other vehicle debuts.
Here’s a quick glimpse of what Michigan Buick dealers and those attending the NAIAS may expect to see:
Acura – The Acura NSX concept will be on display at the Detroit Auto Show. Though it is a concept model, Honda CEO Takanobu Ito, has confirmed it will go into production, according to Motor Authority.
Buick – Still riding high after last year’s completely new model debut of the Verano, Buick will present another brand new model in the crossover segment. The 2013 Encore is styled after the Buick Envision, which made its debut at the Shanghai Auto Show last year. Many in the industry have called the Encore the “baby Enclave,” because little was revealed about this model ahead of its debut.

Cadillac – The auto critics have been anticipating the arrival of the 2013 ATS for awhile. It’s a high-performance sports sedan expected to challenge the BMW 3-Series.
Chevrolet – The 2013 Chevy Malibu will be making its debut with the Eco model hitting dealerships as early as March. This Eco line will give drivers 37 mpg on the road and has a starting price point of $25,995. The Sonic RS will also give those in Detroit a preview a new trim line for the Sonic.
Dodge – bringing back the Dart name to create competition in the compact-sedan segment. According to The Car Connection the Dart will fill in for the Caliber hatchback model. Several teasers have already been unveiled by Dodge; and from the sparse photo selection provided, one thing that becomes clear is the 2013 Dart borrows some design cues from the Dodge Charger.
Ford – Ford has begun teasing out images of the 2013 Ford Fusion via mobile video game app presented on the Android and iOS operating systems. A daily video clip will be made available through the app, and the vehicle’s design has been obscured. Those who download the app will be able to see the complete image of the car at its official unveiling in Detroit.
Honda – The ninth-generation Honda Accord will be at the Detroit Auto show, but minimum details have been revealed. A new coupe concept will also be revealed, and Honda may be hoping it’s unveiled to more fanfare than last year’s Honda Civic model.
Lexus – Lexus will reveal the LF-LC 2+2 sport coupe featuring a hybrid badge in the preview photos.
Lincoln – Ford will present the new 2013 Lincoln MKZ, which is set to receive a power boost and drive control in addition to other added touches.
Nissan – The popular Pathfinder SUV will be presented by Nissan as a next-generation concept model along with a battery-electric commercial van.
Smart – The Smart-For-Us Pickup concept vehicle will return to the auto show floor in Detroit after its debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show.
