What to Do with Those Broken or Unwanted Holiday Lights?

In addition, Congress passed a law that, effective January 1, 2012, traditional incandescent lighting will be phased out in favor of other light bulbs that use at least 25% less energy. Incandescent lights use more energy than modern LED lighting and may cause a fire hazard if the wires are frayed or become worn out after years of use. It is imperative to inspect all wiring to make sure there is no exposed wiring and that all lights are functional.
