Naples-Fort Myers Shoe Store, Foot Solutions of Estero, Collecting for Harry Chapin Food Banks

Jan. 10, 2012 - PRLog -- In preparation for the 4th Annual “WINK News Feeds Families Hunger Walk” to support the Harry Chapin Banks, Foot Solutions of Estero, a Naples-Fort Myers shoe store, will be collecting donations of non-perishable food items throughout the month of January, to be donated to the Food Banks.  In addition, anyone who is participating in the Hunger Walk event on January 21st at Miromar Outlets, will receive a $20 discount on the purchase of running or walking shoes from Foot Solutions Estero. “The Harry Chapin Food Banks is a wonderful organization, that continues to make a positive impact in our community,” said Chris Cole, Owner, Foot Solutions Estero.  “We wanted to offer our support by collecting food donations, as well as encouraging people to participate in the ‘Hunger Walk’ event this month.  We will offer a $25 discount on new running or walking shoes to anyone who is participating in the event.”

This year’s goal for the Hunger Walk is $250,000, which will result in $1,500,000 in food being distributed to our area’s hungry through the Harry Chapin Food Bank’s 150 participating agencies in the five-county area of Southwest Florida.

Those who wish to register for the Hunger Walk can find information and registration forms at www.harrychapinfb.dojiggy.com.  Individual walkers or teams are provided with a personal weblink when they register.  This is the link that will direct friends and family to the team or individual’s personal site, where pledges can be made towards their walk.
