Shale Directories projects 10,000 monthly visitors by the end of 2012

Jan. 9, 2012 - PRLog -- ShaleDirectories.com started as PAGasDirectory.com in 2010 was created to connect gas workers to local Pennsylvania businesses.  As the drilling expanded into Ohio and West Virginia, the directory was expanded to cover these two states as well as New York.  The directory’s name was changed to ShaleDirectories.com and the expanded directory was launched in September of the past year.
The rising popularity of ShaleDirectories.com among gas workers as they move into Ohio and West Virginia has resulted in a 222% increase in site traffic from January 2011 to December 2011.  Traffic to the ShaleDirectories.com is projected to reach 10,000 monthly visitors by the end of 2012.
A very popular feature driving traffic to the new ShaleDirectories.com is the free apps for the iPhone and Droid smart phones.  Prior to these offerings, traffic from mobile devices was 3% of the site traffic.  It has now grown to 15% of site traffic.  “By next year this time, we expect traffic from mobile devices to account for 50% of the traffic,” commented Joe Barone, President, ShaleDirectories.com.  The increased use of smart phones to find ShaleDirectories.com is one of the primary reasons for the growth.
