Taylor Smith to speak at the 2012 Claims & Litigation Management Alliance Conference

Jan. 9, 2012 - PRLog -- Smith is slated to speak on the topic of Partnership Innovation: Collaborative Counsel Evaluations.

Smith currently serves as the president of CLM Advisors, the consulting and advisory arm of the CLM. Prior to this role, he was founder and managing principal of two successful businesses: Revere Advisory, a litigation management consulting firm, and Suite 200 Solutions, a company that connects claims, legal and insurance executives with products and services that improve their businesses. His areas of specialty include legal spend and vendor management, market intelligence studies, talent acquisition, sales and marketing and other operational areas of opportunity for industry executives. Smith is also the Contributing Editor of The Claims Spot, an award-winning LexisNexis Top-50 Insurance Blog that focuses on operational and strategic best practices for claims executives and author of the From the C-Suite column in Claims Management magazine. He has more than 25 years of experience in improving processes for insurance, claims and legal executives, holding executive positions with ePolicy Solutions, CT TyMetrix, CaseKnowledge and CaseRev. In these roles he developed high levels of expertise in litigation management, spend management, collaboration, vendor management and other initiatives important to insurance and legal executives. At MMI Companies, the nation’s second-largest healthcare facility underwriter, he directed a successful consulting practice that designed litigation management programs and processes for self-insured healthcare entities. Smith started his career managing professional liability losses for Norcal Mutual and CNA Insurance Companies. He has authored articles in Claims Management, Claims Advisor, Property Casualty 360, AM Best Review, National Underwriter, The DRI’s For the Defense magazine, and Litigation Management magazine. He received a bachelor’s degree from Columbia University in New York City and attended Boston College Law School.

The CLM Annual Conference, held March 28–30 in San Diego, will be one of the largest, fully inclusive defense industry conferences in 2012. The conference will feature more than 80 collaborative educational sessions with more than 300 speakers and is expected to draw attendees from around the world.
