Norrkoping Signs guard Andrew Dikas

American Guard Will Depart the States and Join Swedish Team on January 11th.

Jan. 8, 2012 - PRLog -- The Norrkoping Dolphins have signed American combo guard Andrew Dikas to a contract.  Agent Kenge Stevenson said Dikas will join the team on January 11. The contract is for one month, with an option to pick up for the rest of the season in February.  This is Dikas’ first European professional contract after graduating from Brewton Parker College, where he averaged 16.0 points and 6.8 rebounds per game.  “Andrew is a big time talent, and I expect him to have an immediate impact with the Dolphins.” said Stevenson.

Dikas was an All- Conference Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) selection and made the SSAC All Tournament Team during the post season.  He spent two years at Brewton Parker after transferring from Vorhees College.  He played in the WBA for the Gwinnet Magic in 2011, where in 15 games he averaged 21.0 ppg, 5.0 rpg, 3.5 apg and 2.0 steals per game.  

The Norrkoping Dolphins are currently 12-8 in the Swedish League, tied with the Sodertalje Kings and the Sundsvall Dragons.
