JAZZ UNDER THE STARS ON JANUARY 26, 2012

WHO:    The Young Friends of the Saint Louis Science Center and the Young Friends of Jazz St. Louis

WHAT:         These two young friends organizations have joined together to host the second annual “Jazz Under the Stars,” a much-needed break from the winter blues and fundraiser to support the efforts of the Saint Louis Science Center and Jazz St. Louis.

The evening will feature the contemporary jazz sounds of Marty Morrison & Friends featuring Jason Swagler, Adam Maness, and Bob DeBoo with special guest Erin Bode. Bode was recently dubbed the “most magnificent solo performer on the planet.” by the BBC. To add to the vibe, Claire Kellett, co-anchor of the Awake with News 4 morning team will serve as the evening’s emcee.

In between the three live acts of jazz, the stars will shine in the planetarium during two spectacular star shows. Tickets are available online or by calling 314-289-4424. The event cost is $30 per person. Tickets include three complementary drinks and appetizers. Valet parking is available.
   
WHEN:   Jazz Under the Stars will be held on Thursday, January 26, 2012 from
6 p.m. to 9 p.m.                        

WHERE:       This “see-and-be-seen” event for the under 40 crowd will be held at the James S. McDonnell Planetarium at the Saint Louis Science Center in Forest Park.
