Husband and Wife Law Team Recognizes Second Teacher Appreciation Winner, Coach Rachel Proudfoot!

Jan. 5, 2012 - PRLog -- Phoenix, Arizona - A new Teacher Appreciation Program was created by Arizona’s Husband and Wife Law Team, Mark and Alexis Breyer, to recognize Arizona teachers for the great job they do.  Every month, one lucky teacher is awarded a $250 gift certificate for office supplies for their classroom.  All Arizona teachers who teach elementary school, middle school, and high school have eligibility to win the contest.  

Arizona personal injury attorneys Mark and Alexis Breyer are proud to announce that the second winner of their contest is Coach Rachel Proudfoot, of Desert Vista High School!  

Nominators shared their high opinions and great experiences with Coach Proudfoot, saying, “[She] has rais[ed] the standard of excellence for [the Desert Vista High School Girls Basketball Program].”

“Coach Proudfoot…inspires and encourages [young women] to be upstanding citizens and volunteer in the community,” says one nomination.

Ms. Proudfoot has been known to dedicate not only much of her personal time, unpaid, through numerous practices, but also challenges her athletes by helping with college team research, and hosting bi-weekly team pancake breakfasts out of her own pocket.

Public school teachers used over $1.33 billion of their own money to provide their classrooms with necessities during the 2009-2010 school year.  The demand on teachers is higher with each year that passes as there are more required supplies for students to bring, and more widespread financial difficulties facing the parents of students.
