Jan. 4, 2012 - PRLog -- January 4, 2012 – SEATTLE, Wash. Aiming to top last year’s record-breaking fundraising and participation with 2,303 participants and more than $147,000 raised for the Denver Metropolitan Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure®, the Tubbs Romp to Stomp Out Breast Cancer Snowshoe Series® is returning for another event in Frisco.

The Tubbs Romp to Stomp Series is excited to partner once again with the Town of Frisco to host the largest event in the Romp Snowshoe Series. Participants can choose from a 3k or 5k snowshoe walk or a 3k snowshoe race at the Frisco Nordic Center.

As colder weather begins to ease in, Rompers can look forward to a festive, family-friendly way to continue the fight against breast cancer long after Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October. The Tubbs Romp to Stomp Snowshoe Series brings snowshoers of all levels and ages together to raise money in support of breast cancer education and research. As North America’s largest snowshoe series, the Tubbs Romp to Stomp has raised over $1.8 million for breast cancer since 2003.

“We could not be more thrilled to continue our partnership with the Town of Frisco and the Frisco Nordic Center,” says Stephanie Yankeh, Marketing Events Manager for the Tubbs Romp to Stomp Out Breast Cancer Snowshoe Series. “The weekend will be packed full of fun, from the Pink Party at the Best Western in town the evening prior to the Romp to the pancake breakfast and live entertainment the morning of the event. We are looking forward to our Romp participants once again creating a sea of pink feather boas and tu-tus around the Nordic Center as we come together to stomp out breast cancer one snowshoe step at a time!”
