Jan. 4, 2012 - PRLog -- Kansas City, Missouri) – Paw Prints The Magazine announces that it will be moving its radio show, Paw Prints Live!, airing on KCXL 1140 AM and 102.9 FM to a new time slot
starting Thursday, January 5th.  “We were offered the opportunity to broadcast during the lunch hour,” said co-host, and co-owner Stacy Smith, “and moving from 1:00 to Noon gives us an opportunity to reach many of our readers and fans that aren't able to listen during regular work hours at the office, but can listen during lunch.” Stacy’s husband and business partner, Dale Smith, agrees that the move means more opportunities for live listenership, saying “There simply wasn’t a way for many to hear us live during the day.” He added, "We encourage call-in's and listening live is the only way listeners can interact with us and our guests on the air in real time."

Paw Prints Live! is an extension of both the Paw Prints The Magazine and PawPrintstheMagazine.com brand,  which began 2004. In 2009, the magazine stopped printing and went to a completely online format to make things more accessible to advertisers, and to become more environmentally friendly.

In addition to the time change, 2012 will see Paw Prints The Magazine in print once again as a quarterly publication.

Paw Prints Live! began in 2009, and airs on Thursdays from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm, where hosts Dale and Stacy Smith discuss topics with one another as well as speak with guests about animal news, entertainment, and topics of special interest to their pet-owning audience.

The hope is to grow and eventually produce a five day a week pet-centric show that is “appointment radio” for its listeners.

About KCXL 1140 AM & 102.9 FM

KCXL 1140 began in 1967 as a family owned business. Having changed its format several times and going off air for two years, it was revitalized when Pete Schartel bought the station 1993. In 2010 KCXL added an FM signal and simulcasts on both AM and FM... the first to do so in the market. KCXL now exists as a variety format, featuring predominantly talk radio during the week, with oldies playing from 10 pm to 7am, as well as on weekends.
