By: Angie Wood “If you’ve been thinking of adopting a pet, but wanted to wait until the activity of the holiday season was over, now’s the time,” says NAHS executive director Angie Wood. “Celebrate 2012 and all its possibilities by adopting one of our deserving, homeless cats or dogs. It’s a great way to start the year.” The New Year, New Home adoption promotion runs from January 16 through January 31, 2012. The promotional adoption fees are: adult cats $25, kittens $100, adult dogs $100, and puppies $150. At NAHS, all animals have received an initial vet exam, age-appropriate vaccinations, and a microchip. Cats are tested for feline leukemia and FIV, and dogs have been tested for heartworm disease. All animals are spayed or neutered before going into their new homes. For more information about Naperville Area Humane Society, please visit www.NapervilleAreaHumaneSociety.org.
