A1 Outsource Delighted that a Christmas of Upsets Leaves Premier League Title Wide Open

The traditional Christmas Premier League Fixtures were as spectacular as anyone could have imagined, though perhaps for all the wrong reasons. A1 Outsource provides a roundup of the fixtures.

Dec. 29, 2011 - PRLog -- This seasons Premiership title was looking at one point to be heading in the direction of Manchester. Manchester City were unbeaten and Manchester United were hot on their tail. For A1 Outsource, an outsource sales and marketing based in Glasgow city centre, this year’s Boxing Day fixtures were a reminder that anything can happen.

As far as goal scoring efforts, the two days of fixtures was distinctly disappointing. In fact no team seemed particularly intent on winning at all. Manchester City started off the shocks when they drew 0-0 with West Brom, it was the first time this season that City had failed to score at all. The result meant that if Manchester United managed to win in the late game it would bring them level on points with their arch rivals. A1 Outsource director admitted the whole of his Boxing Day was spent in front of the TV, “Once I’d watched City draw I couldn’t help but see how United got on!”

Manchester United showed their class just hours later in a 5-0 hammering of Wigan. A rout is the only way to describe the game. Dimitar Berbatov scored a hat-trick along with goals from Valencia and Ji-Sung Park. An interesting fact that A1 Outsource discovered is that Manchester United have won their last 8 Boxing Day matches. Clearly their Christmas day isn’t spent lying around eating too much like the rest of us.

To round off Monday Liverpool drew 1-1 with Blackburn as did Chelsea with Fulham. Ardent Arsenal fans, A1 Outsource hoped that The Gunners could capitalize on the failures of the top ranked teams the previous day. Unfortunately the fairytale was not meant to be and predictably they too drew 1-1 with Wolves. However bitter rivals Tottenham had a comfortable victory 2-0 victory against Norwich which has seen them move up into 3rd place with a game in hand.

The results have left the title well within reach of several teams now. With Manchester United and Manchester City level, and Tottenham and Chelsea not far behind, football seems to have an exciting couple of months ahead of it.

“At A1 Outsource there is nothing we love more than an upset in football. The closer the better we feel. It’s just such a shame that we have to travel so far from our Glasgow office to catch the games. Our move to Milan in February is going to put us in the thick of Serie A action, but don’t worry we’ll be keeping an eye on our favourite league in the world!”
