Follow on Google News | Boys & Girls Clubs Of Greater Oxnard & Port Hueneme Announces New Board MembersFour community leaders have joined the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Oxnard and Port Hueneme’s board of directors, helping to create an expanded, more diversified board.
By: BGCOP “Our existing board had a goal of increasing the board with community leaders from different business areas to enhance our board’s capabilities in serving our youth,” said BGCOP Chief Professional Officer Tim Blaylock. “The board has done a great job in recruiting nine impressive board members this year, many of whom are younger so our board has the benefit of different generations’ Board members who joined earlier this year include Ben Alaniz, Rabobank; Danielle Everson, Nordman Cormany Hair & Compton LLP; Lisa Cortez, Saalex Solutions; Laurie Eberst, St. John’s Medical Center; and Kathleen Sheehan, Port Hueneme Police Department. The Club currently serves more than 8,500 members between the ages of 6 and 18 at its three full-service facilities, and 15 other locations in partnership with a local school district, a public housing complex and a juvenile detention center. Membership costs only $15 per year for all programs and support, and no child is ever turned away due to inability to pay.
