Association of Fundraising Professionals New Jersey Chapter Elects New Leadership

Dec. 23, 2011 - PRLog -- EDISON, N.J. - December 23, 2011 – On December 8, 2011, members of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) New Jersey Chapter held their Annual Meeting Electing New Board Officers and Members.  “It is with great honor and privilege that I accept this role to lead one of our professional associations’ largest chapters,” said incoming Chapter President Michael J. Baker, CFRE  “New Jersey’s philanthropy is driven by the members of the AFP-New Jersey Chapter.”
Outgoing President John Carno was presented with an award, thanking him for his service. “Over the past two years, our Chapter has been led during challenging times through the leadership of our outgoing President, John Carno,” said Baker. “I want to thank John for his service and leadership - he has left big shoes to fill.”
The Association of Fundraising Professionals, which represents more than 30,000 members in over 220 chapters throughout the world, advances philanthropy by enabling people and organizations to practice ethical and effective fundraising. The core activities through which AFP fulfills this mission include education, training, mentoring, research, credentialing and advocacy.
The New Jersey Chapter of AFP, one of the largest chapters, is an individual member association that advances philanthropy through education, training and advocacy across the state.
