Free Toys for Western Volusia County

Dec. 23, 2011 - PRLog -- Dr. Kim Reddick and his wellness clinic, Complete Wellness Center of Orange City, collected toys to donate to The Neighborhood Center of West Volusia., located in DeLand.  The Neighborhood Center distributes the toys to struggling families in western Volusia County.

The wellness center started collecting toys right after Thanksgiving. With newsletters, email updates, blogs and facebook updates to their patients, the toys started rolling in.  By the December 16 delivery date, there were sufficient toys available for the families.

“Our patients have always come through for the annual toy drive,” said Reddick.

The Complete Wellness Center patients have given generously over the years.  Last year was light, but this was the best in a couple of years.  

“We received more toys this year from our patients than the last two years combined,” commented Reddick, “It’s great to have the support from my patients.”

Among the toys were board games, dolls, remote controlled cars and puzzles.  Reddick was pleased with the donation his office gave The Neighborhood Center.

Reddick is a chiropractor, owner and clinic director of Complete Wellness Center of Orange City.  His clinic has been located at the same location for 27 years.

“It’s one of the things I can do to give back to my community that has given so much to me,” commented Reddick.

During these difficult times with the unemployment being so high in central Florida, families are having a hard time making ends meet.  Something has to give and unfortunately, it is usually Christmas—the dinner and the toys.  It makes it disappointing for the children and parents feel guilt-ridden.  Reddick hopes this small token will help the families.
