Dec. 22, 2011 - PRLog -- ESAT  harnesses the spirit of innovation, creativity and activism at the core of the Hip-Hop community, empowering hip hop artists, fans and brands, transforming communities across the globe.

With the help of Senegal’s hip hop band Wagëblë, West African born rapper Kiki Romeo, South Africa Hip Hop Artist DJ Duce and others, ESAT will help to represent South Africa hip hop to music lovers globally. Artists on the roster will add their unique music blend of hip hop, helping to boost conscious rap into the forefront of the world stage.

Wagëblë‟s message to the youth in Sénégal emphasizes hard work, self-determination and encourages the building of the future in Sénégal, their Motherland. Multilingual rapper Kiki Romeo and DJ Duce offers a conscious and revolutionary sound strengthened by articulated and rooted messages that are combined with an always renewed mind.

Waterflow of the hip hop band Wagëblë, was an inspiration for some of the tours ideals; a main focal point was his emphasis on conscious artists being the voice of the voiceless as well as being instrumental in promoting the ideals of socio-economic and racial parity.

In an interview with ABC News, Moussa Lo, a.k.a. Waterflow said he became a hip-hop singer not for success or his own glory, but to be “The voice of the voiceless, Hip-hop in Africa needs to grow, we are the journalists for the people.”

In 2011 Wagëblë is still portrayed as the voice of the voiceless generation in Dakar, and is currently looked upon as one of Senegals most popular Hip Hop Groups.

The ESAT is guided by the vision that global change begins with individual activism and local investment in holistic, sustainable programs and initiatives. ESAT embraces every nationality and culture bridging music across racial and political boundaries, in turn reshaping hip hop as we know it.

Hip hop artists plan on bringing a message of hope, peace and harmony to the masses through the Explore South Africa tour (ESAT). “We can overcome the ever-growing trend towards negativity in Hip Hop and hold steadfast to positive beliefs and ideals while maintaining great success and influence,” a spokesperson for ESAT said.

It’s an exciting time for hip hop fans! This conscious music movement will unite US and South Africa Hip hop artists for a tour that some are saying is paramount in helping to unite a multitude of cultures with one thing in common, push, The Message”.

This initiative, presented by AZitiZ Entertainment and Headgear Media also aims to assist conscious hip hop artists, fans and brands to enter into the South African market with the hopes networking, sharing their love for the genre as well as learning the in and outs of the music business via the Future of Music Global Hip Hop Industry Panel of Experts.

The tour launches in Johannesburg South Africa April 2012.

The “I AM CONSCIOUS MUSIC” Artist competition winner Jah-I-Witness Emcee will open for headliners AZitiZ an International hip hop artist from the US and Dj Duce from South Africa at the tour’s initial stops in Johannesburg, Bloemfontein and Pretoria. Other invited performers are Senegal Hip Hop Band Wagëblë which includes Waterflow & Eyewitness, Styles P, West African Born rapper Kiki Romeo and Botswana rapper Eureka The Coverboy. Mos Def, Lauryn Hill, Talieb Kweli and KRS One are mainstream hopefuls for the tour. Other artists confirmed on the roster to be announced.
