Frankie "Trixx" Agyemang representing Africa at The 1st AfriCaribbean Comedy Blowout Philadelphia
The hilarious Trixx of Canadian fame will take center stage Fri. Dec.30 in Philadelphia at the Starlight ballroom at 9pm. This is his first performance in Philly and he's preparing to cause jaw pain.
As a regular on Much Music’s Video On Trial and Stars Gone Wild, fans across the country have gotten to know and love TRIXX and his hilarious trademark characters.
Already a respected performer, he has opened for Aries Spears (of MadTV Fame)
and Sugar Sammy (HBO Canada), and is a favorite at the Nubian Disciples of
Comedy, hosted by Kenny Robinson. An avid student of pop culture and observer
of life, TRIXX offers his unique, fresh and witty perspective on anything and
everything, from relationships to race relations, and the hard truths of day-to-day
As one of the most sought after performers for various events and comedy stages
across Canada, he’s also been called to stages in New York, Boston, and London,
England; and was a performer at the 2008 Jamaican International Comedy Festival.
Factor in that he’s also a talented DJ with a history in radio broadcast, and it’s no
wonder why he’s such a hot commodity.
Riding high off the success of his first one-man show, Mistrial, TRIXX set the wheels in motion for his first one-man show of 2010, entitled Face Value. His first DVD of the same name, which is now available for retail sale. Charismatic and savagely funny, Trixx’s talent lies in knowing exactly when and where to push boundaries and establish new limits.
Trixx will cause some belly pains at the 1st AfriCaribbean Comedy Blowout Philadelphia Fri. Dec. 30 at the Starlight Ballroom. Showtime is at 9pm and an after-party to follow immediately following the show. Trixx will perform with A.G.White of Brooklyn representing the U.S., Marc Trinidad representing Trinidad, Owen "Blakka" Ellis of Jamaica and Ruperto Vanderpool of the Dominican Republic. This multi-cultural comedy event will be hosted by international film star Paul Campbell. Reggae/
