Dec. 19, 2011 - PRLog -- 2012 Ford F-150 is the truck for anyone and everyone, and it’s received some much-deserved recognition.

It’s not hard to see why the Ford F-150 has been named Motor Trend’s 2012 Truck of the Year for the fourth time in the past 15 years. Not only does it embody all of the toughness and rugged functionality that is associated with Ford trucks, but it has so many different trim levels and options that this truck can be built to suit a variety of drivers. The 2012 Ford F-150 comes in 10 different trim levels, with four different engine choices, and six-speed automatic or select shift manual transmissions. The F-150 reigned supreme over the competition when tested in the areas of design, engineering, performance, efficiency, safety and value.  Evaluate one of the 12 different Ford F-150 models at River View Ford and see why it won out as Motor Trend’s Truck of the Year.

The Ford F-150 is definitely built “Ford tough” no matter which trim or engine that’s being driven. In fact, one of the reasons it was chosen as Motor Trend’s Truck of the Year was how well it drove even when hauling thousands of pounds of cargo. Some judges even claimed that it rode better when hauling cargo! Now that’s a pickup truck that lives up to its name!

The base engine of the Ford F-150 is a V6 that cranks out a little more than 300 hp. However, the turbocharged 3.5L V6 engine with EcoBoost will provide added power and towing capacity.  Some judges even claimed to prefer the EcoBoost V6 engine to the V8. For those wanting more muscle, the 5.0L V8 engine gets 360 hp and can tow as much as 10,000 pounds when properly equipped.  Yet the top of the line in terms of engine power for the Ford F-150 would be the racing technology-inspired Raptor and luxury SuperCrew models, which boast a 6.2-liter V8 with 411 hp. It’s like driving a race car that can haul a camper!

The 2012 Ford F-150 has so many choices when it comes to trim levels, engines, and options, there are literally hundreds of ways to equip the 2012 F-150. Choose from the three different body styles: regular cab, extended/super cab, and crew/super cab.  Buyers can then also choose their cargo bed size between 5.5 feet and 8 feet.

Ford F-150 buyers can get all kinds of specialized detailing on their truck if they opt for one of the special trim levels like the King Ranch, Platinum, Raptor, or Harley Davidson models, but each of the trim levels offer different packages of standard and optional features.

Choose the Ford F-150 trim level and load it with features such as:
