HCA's Medical Center of Lewisville Announces New Chief Executive Officer
HCA North Texas president, James C. Scoggin, Jr. has announced the appointment of Ashley McClellan, FACHE, as the new Chief Executive Officer of Medical Center of Lewisville, effective immediately.
McClellan has been in healthcare leadership for seven years, five and a half with HCA and the past three and a half years with HCA North Texas Division as Chief Operating Officer of Medical Center of Lewisville. While at Lewisville, McClellan was instrumental in designing the first freestanding emergency department with an attached outpatient imaging center in North Texas, Flower Mound Emergency Center. She also has played an integral role in increasing employee engagement to be in HCA’s Top 10% for 2010 and 2011, decreasing Emergency Department turnaround times by 79 minutes and supported the organization in pursuing many recent accreditations such as Joint Commission Disease Specific Certifications for Total Hip, Total Knee and Inpatient Diabetes.
McClellan is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives and earned her BBA in Finance from SMU Cox School of Business, and both her MBA and MHA from Texas Women’s University. Earlier this year, McClellan was honored in Dallas Business Journal’s annual 40 Under Forty issue and in October was awarded the 2011 Young Healthcare Executive of the Year award from the Dallas/Fort Worth Hospital Council.
McClellan serves on the SMU Young Alumni Board, as well as the Alumni Board for the SMU Cox School of Business. She is involved in supporting Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children through service on the Cookies & Castles Steering Committee, comprised of Dallas Tri Delta Alumni, which has raised more than $10,000 the past three years for the hospital. McClellan is a member of Flower Mound Rotary and serves on the Board for the Flower Mound Chamber of Commerce. She enjoys spending time with her husband Brett and their two year old son, Brooks.
“I am confident that Ashley will excel in her new role and continue to enhance the culture of excellence, caring and innovation that defines Medical Center of Lewisville,”
