This assessment of potential is complemented by a review of the track record and standing of startups relative to their sector peers, allowing Red Herring to see past the “buzz” and make the list an invaluable instrument of discovery and advocacy for the greatest business opportunities from around the world.
Major reasons for this award were Sonix’s innovative software library called Scirocco and a creative business model using Scirocco Cloud. Scirocco is an Android UI test automation tool. This tool enables Android software developers to perform cross-device tests automatically, giving them reports for each device with corresponding screenshots. The reports are automatically stored in the cloud and can be shared among team members.  Revenue is generated by offering the Scirocco Cloud service to advanced users on a cloud platform. The premium service using Scirocco Cloud will enable developers to conduct more advanced cross-device tests without having to own any Android devices locally.
