ESET Secures Fourth Consecutive “Advanced+” Award in Performance Test from AV-Comparatives

Dec. 18, 2011 - PRLog -- ESET proudly announces its fourth “Advanced+” award in performance testing from AV-Comparatives, an independent research organization. The latest test measured the impact on system performance of 20 antivirus products. In addition to receiving the highest possible number of “Advanced+” awards in performance testing, ESET has received more “Advanced+” awards in retrospective tests than any other vendor, which is given to products that have excellent heuristic detection rates and low false positives.

AV-Comparatives provide a three-level ranking system of “Standard,” “Advanced” and “Advanced+” awards. To receive an “Advanced+” award, products in this particular test were compared based on how much impact the product has on a system. ESET tops the list as the product with the least amount of system impact.
