Dec. 17, 2011 - PRLog -- Francestown, NH – December 19, 2011 – The last week of the year often finds solo entrepreneurs focusing on preparing and planning for the new year. But according to one Solo-E.com Certified Expert, business owners should use some of that time for making more time.

“Plans are great. They keep you focused on what matters in your business,” says  Paula Eder, an online professional who focuses on Heart-Based Time Management™, “But the biggest issue for entrepreneurs is time. There’s no better opportunity than ‘It’s About Time Week’ to start preparing to give yourself more time to implement your plans and achieve your goals.”

Eder‘s business, Finding Time, was  founded in 2006.  At Finding Time she helps heart-based entrepreneurs and small business owners align their core values and energy with their time choices and behaviors so that they can make more money, create more freedom, and find more time. Eder is one of 50 solo professionals certified by Solo-E.com.

“Solo-E.com certified business experts, including Eder, have been working virtually for years to help other solo business owners succeed,” says Terri Zwierzynski, CEO and founder of Solo-E.com. “They understand how to harness the time monsters and be productive.”

Together, Zwierzynski and Eder offer the following tips to create find more time as a solo professional:

1.   Set boundaries. “Interruptions are the business owner’s enemy,” says Eder. “Only take calls, check emails, social media, etc. at specific times throughout the day so you won’t be distracted. And let your clients know about it so you set up realistic expectations right up front.”

2.   Use your optimum productivity time. “We all have a ‘prime time’ for productivity – that is the time period when we get the most done. For some, it’s in the morning. Others might be night owls,” says  Eder. “The key is to use that time to get your most important work done.”

3.   Schedule time for yourself. “Everyone has to take time to ‘stop and smell the roses’”, says Zwierzynski. “Scheduling time for small breaks actually is proven to increase productivity in the long run.”

4.   Plan your time. “Take a look at your goals for 2012.  Plan your time weekly to accomplish your goals by breaking them down into small, 30 to 60-minute, time periods,” explains Zwierzynski.
