PRLog -- HYPE Xtreme executive DS, has been contacted by BJJ coach and owner of TEAM LINK Master Marco Alvan to tell him, Ricardo "Golden Boy" Funch will return in Jan 2012 to the UFC 142 card. Funch recently returned to the MMA scene with a unanimous decision over Bellator veteran Ryan Quinn. Funch controlled the majority of the rounds with his advanced ground game. Funch a huge supporter of HYPE has expressed that he wishes HYPE could be seen on his gear as he makes his appearance at the UFC show, but can not due to the tax ZUFFA has put on smaller MMA sponsors. HYPE executive DS had this to say about Funch, "I was told to visit TEAM LINK and talk about sponsoring Funch. I was leary as to the fact Funch is known locally in a big way. I wasn't sure we would be able to make the grade. But after speaking to LINK coach Marco Alvan and Ricardo Funch I realized he was like everyone else with one thing more. He appreciated the small guy! Ricardo met my 3 year old son and wasn't like any other pro athlete I had ever come across. He legitly made time to make my son smile.
