Young Professionals in Energy Host Charity Gala for Women's Center and Shelter of Greater Pittsburgh

Dec. 16, 2011 - PRLog -- The Pittsburgh chapter of Young Professional's in Energy (YPE) hosted a charity gala titled 'Inspiration - Pittsburgh Style! to benefit the Women's Center and Shelter of Greater Pittsburgh on Thursday, December 15th, at the Andy Warhol Museum. Through the generous donations of the attendees, YPE Pittsburgh was able to raise $4,350 to assist the Women's Center with its mission to fight domestic partner abuse.  
   
Speaking at the event was Eric Shiner, Director of the Warhol Museum, and Barbara Nicholas, Director of the Women's Center.  Mr. Shiner's comments focused on how Andy Warhol's works focused on and channeled many different forms of energy from his daily life and experiences.  Mrs. Nicholas's comments showed the audience that they could spend unwanted, negative energy  supporting and working to build up our community through helping those most in need.
