Dec. 16, 2011 - PRLog --, a credit card processing review website, has released their latest rating of WorldPay merchant services and given them a C rating overall. The grade is given based on an average of different categories, including sales techniques, Fees, Contracts, and Dispute resolution to name few.

WorldPay is one of the larger credit card processing companies in the world with business in over 40 countries. Their sales and marketing techniques include the use of resellers as well as ISO’s (Independent Sales Organizations) which can often lead to less control by the parent processor. According to, WorldPay also uses advertising techniques that show the lowest processing tier only. This method is frowned upon by because they claim on average most transactions are not run at this rate.

WorldPay received low marks in their contracts and fees category because the standard agreement includes a 3 year contract with a one year auto-renew feature if a 90 day notice of intent to cancel is not given by the merchant. For complaint resolution, WorldPay received relatively high marks due in part to the low number of complaints filed with the major online resolution centers.
