Fort Myers Track & Running Shoe Store, Foot Solutions Estero, Sponsors Charity 5K Run

Dec. 15, 2011 - PRLog -- Foot Solutions of Estero, a Fort Myers track and running shoe store, recently sponsored a 5K Run called “Tara’s Jingle Jog”.  Proceeds of the event went to benefit “The Passion Foundation”, providing sunshades for children’s playgrounds.  Foot Solutions Estero sponsored a table, providing free foot evaluations, as well as free shoulder massages by Chiropractic Health of SWFL.  In addition, Foot Solutions donated two pairs of Brooks running shoes in select styles, valued at around $275.  For more information, visit http://www.stores.footsolutions.com/estero

“We are grateful for the opportunity to have been a part of this event,” said Chris Cole, Owner, Foot Solutions of Estero.  “Not only are we supporting a good cause in the community, but we are also able to help runners ensure they are properly caring for their feet.  The shoes we donated were (brand) .   We also provided all participants with a coupon to come in for a foot assessment, which allows us to help prevent and address many foot, knee and back problems runners often face.  The race participants also will receive a discount on new running shoes or custom arch supports to ensure their feet are in good shape for future runs!”

Tara's Jingle Jog was presented by Riverchase Dermatology. All proceeds from the event went to benefit The Passion Foundation, a local non-profit, whose mission is to keep our children shaded and safe from the sun's harmful rays while at school. Founder and cancer survivor Tara Parla created this foundation last year as she battled Stage 3 Melanoma. Her goal is to have sun shades covering all school playgrounds in Southwest Florida.
