MBS President Selected for Colorado Springs Diversity Forum Board

Dec. 14, 2011 - PRLog -- Colorado Springs, Colo., December 1, 2011.   Jon Duncan, President of Managed Business Solutions (MBS) has been selected for the Board of Directors of the Colorado Springs Diversity Forum (CSDF).
“I am looking forward to the opportunity to invest and learn, by serving the local community as a positive force in the Colorado Springs Diversity Forum,” said Jon Duncan.

Board members will normally serve a three calendar-year term, which may be extended by one term with the approval of the Board. Board responsibilities revolve around stewardship and sustainability of the Diversity Forum and include primarily financial, policy, and legal decision-making. The Board is responsible for identifying resource needs and sustainable funding; for setting policy and process for the organization; for serving as a public figure for the Diversity Forum; and for making pertinent operational decisions related to committees, task forces, programs, assignments, personnel and volunteers.

There are currently six standing committees within CSDF: Membership Recruitment and Retention; Fund Raising and Development, Communications and Media Relations, Public Affairs and Government Relations, Programs and Initiatives and Planning. All members of CSDF serve as members of one of these committees or on ad hoc task forces. Each committee establishes its own agenda within the context of overall Forum goals and strategies and coordination between the committees occurs at the Board level.
