Dec. 14, 2011 - PRLog -- VALENCIA , CA – Sage Fund Accounting, an accounting suite designed specifically for nonprofit organizations and government agencies, has been honored with a Campbell Award for exceptional customer feedback. The award is based on the high proportion of Sage Fund Accounting customers that say they would recommend the product to others, determined by independent polling conducted by the research firm Campbell Rinker. This is the fifth time that Sage Fund Accounting has won the award. In fact, the product has won the award every year that Campbell Rinker has conducted the study.

"Our ultimate goal is to provide our customers with an extraordinary experience," said Krista Endsley, senior vice president and general manager for Sage Nonprofit Solutions. “Sage Fund Accounting helps improve the daily lives of nonprofit accounting professionals, while also helping organizations demonstrate financial and organizational accountability. We are truly honored that our customers have selected Sage Fund Accounting for a fifth consecutive Campbell Rinker Award. It reaffirms our values and commitments to our clients, partners and employees and inspires us to work even harder to produce the highest levels of quality, value and service.”

Said Dirk Rinker, President of Campbell Rinker, "The willingness of a customer to recommend a product to their peers is one of the single best measurements of product quality. The Campbell Award honors products that truly excel in this regard, and we congratulate Sage for this outstanding achievement."

Findings from the study include the fact that 8% of nonprofits use an Internet-based accounting solution, as opposed to using software installed on a local computer or server. This number is double the 4% that reported using similar Internet-based solutions just two years ago in a 2009 Campbell Rinker study.

Another finding from the study is that 49% of nonprofits plan to upgrade their current solution the next time they make an evaluation, as opposed to switching solutions, keeping their solution as-is, or being unsure what direction they think their organization will head.

Conducted online during August and September of 2011, the study surveyed 1,987 users and purchase decision makers for accounting software products at U.S. nonprofits. Survey topics included user satisfaction, feature preferences, purchasing habits, and organizational dynamics. Eighty-six percent of survey respondents say they influence purchase decisions for accounting solutions at their organization.

Details about the study's comprehensive report, which is available to software companies, can be found at www.campbellrinker.com/reports/SNP.html.
