New Fan-funded Project By Jazz Guitar Legend Jim Hall - “The Live Project”
Three hours of previously unreleased music from the original jim hall live! 1975 recording plus a new live at birdland recording featuring greg osby, steve laspina and joey baron. Fans receive credit on the ltd edition box set packaging plus access.
By participating in the project, fans will receive credit in a limited edition box set containing THREE HOURS OF PREVIOUSLY UNRELEASED MUSIC FROM THE ORIGINAL JIM HALL LIVE! performances. This infamous set of concerts, which took place over several nights at Bourbon St., Toronto in 1975, features Don Thompson on bass and Terry Clarke on drums. Thompson recently discovered additional music from that week that will delight every Jim Hall fan. The NEW LIVE AT BIRDLAND RECORDING of Hall’s latest performances with a quartet featuring Greg Osby, Steve Laspina, and Joey Baron at Birdland in 2010, will also be available through ArtistShare. “I have been sharing wonderful moments on stage with these fine musicians for many years, and I am very much looking forward to sharing them with you," says Hall about his new project.
Once logged on to the project, fans will access exclusive interviews with musicians who have worked with and been inspired by Jim, as well as additional exclusive tracks and video footage. Premium participants will receive credit in the box set CD booklet, and space in the liner notes will also be allocated to write a personal message to Jim.
This is Jim Hall’s fifth fan-funded project with ArtistShare.
