Dec. 13, 2011 - PRLog -- The Business of Me announced its holiday campaign today. Nancy Salamone, CEO and Founder said “This holiday season we want to help 100 women in need. We want to help 100 women who have left their abuser so that they can create a self-sufficient life.”
Ms. Salamone further said “Many courageous women have left their abusers and will be spending the holidays in a domestic violence shelter or perhaps homeless. For these women and their children this will be a painful time of year.”

“These women and their children deserve a life free of abuse and a home of their own where they are safe and surrounded with the love of family and friends. They have made that first step by leaving their abuser.  Unfortunately studies show that a woman will return to her abuser 7 or 8 times before she can make the break for good.  Many return to the abuser because they do not possess the life skills needed to live an independent life”, says Salamone.

Salamone further said “These brave women need to learn life sufficiency skills so that they can make it on their own and insure that next year they will have their own homes and living an independent life free of abuse and fear. The Business of Me will make her dream of independence a reality.”

If you wish to help make the dream of self-sufficiency a reality for women in need a contribution site has been set up at Indiegogo at http://www.indiegogo.com/Give-the-Gift-of-Independence-to....
