The annual Yearbook, published every December by The Tasting Panel, sifts through the thousands of wines and spirits that the magazine reviews over the ten months preceding their December issue and pick 300 of these. The wines and spirits picked are then featured in the Yearbook that showcases only the best wines and spirits that have made the cut. In an excerpt from the acknowledgment sent to Soul, the Tasting Panel notes:

“Our editorial team has scoured the last ten months of issues from January to November 2011 and plucked out those wine and spirits brands that we deemed were the “most likely to succeed” in 2012. We write about thousands of brands every year, but we have selected just 300 of the most OUTSTANDING wines and spirits from our reviews and articles.”
