4pm, Friday - that's the optimum holiday-booking time, according to Holidaysplease
Staff could be in hot water as most Brits book their holidays during office hours
Holidaysplease provides a range of indulgent yet competitively priced luxury holidays aimed primarily at couples, with honeymoons being a particular speciality.
The company's Travel Advisors are some of the most dedicated and experienced in the business as they give their mobile and even home phone numbers to customers. Also many stay up until 11pm at night and work during their own holidays to service customers' requirements. For example, one Travel Advisor worked up until 11pm to confirm bookings even though she was due to fly out on a personal holiday to Brazil the following day. Furthermore, a look at booking statistics over the last 12 months has revealed certain patterns amongst its customers:
• Almost all holiday bookings take place during office hours (9am - 5pm)
• 4pm is the most popular time to book a holiday, followed by 11am and 3pm jointly
• Friday is the most popular day to book a holiday, followed by Monday
• Friday 29 July 2011 has been the most popular day to date for bookings - perhaps customers were keen to get away from the phone hacking scandal which was headline news at the time?
• Other popular dates for bookings have been Monday 28 March (the day after British Summertime started) and Friday 28 October (the day before British Summertime ended)
Here are just a few of the winter holiday options that are available with Holidaysplease:
